Hi Eric, First
of all, thank you for sharing your story with the online conference. It was
very enjoyable reading about your experiences in life regarding your
stuttering. You have my utmost respect in achieving so much success in your
life thus far. I find your comment about being surprised to first learn that
white people and people from the western world also stutter when you first
starting attending your support groups. As a future speech-language pathologist
I believe it is very important that we as therapists introduce this kind of
knowledge to our clients. It is so important to incorporate many kinds of
support into therapy, especially group therapy in which we can speak of our
struggles as well as accomplishments among our peers. Thank you for your time
and enlightenment Eric. My best wishes to you!

Mr. Ndosak, Your story is so
inspirational. I greatly admire how far you have come in your journey with
stuttering. It is unfortunate that the village you are from does not have any
support groups for stuttering, but it is great to hear that you have found a
group. Have any of your family members that stutter gotten involved with the
same stuttering support group? I am so glad to hear that you are now
comfortable with your stuttering and able to tell your customers that you are a
person who stutters. I hope people in Cameroon can learn and find inspiration
in your story to help them overcome their own stuttering! Thank you for sharing
your story!

Great paper! Thanks for
sharing. No matter what age we discover it, the first time we realize that we are
not alone with our stuttering is a huge step toward acceptance. I remember
thinking as a child and even young adult that I must be the only one who talks
like this since I had never met anyone else who stutters. Now I too attend a
self-help group, and just being around others who share the same experience has
been life changing. Keep going! Keep talking. You are making a difference in
your corner of the world. Congratulations!

You've learned some very
important information about stuttering and stutterers, Eric! I can see that
what you've learned has had a good effect on your own attitudes and behavior.
And yes, people in the western world also stutter, and they have the same
feelings about stuttering as people in Cameroon. We're all in this problem
together. I'm glad you have a good job now. Sprechen Sie deutsch? Sehr gut! Ich
auch, aber ein wenig. Abschied, und viel Glueck zu dir!
